The project
Joezz is the first premium social marketplace in Europe that revolutionizes online shopping by combining e-commerce and authentic social networking. The app allows users to discover premium products through real photos and videos shared by a passionate community, purchase directly from integrated brands, and earn revenue by inspiring others.
The app offers: • Advanced product search with ElasticSearch for instant results • Custom thematic feeds (fashion, decor, beauty, sports, lifestyle, etc.) • Direct purchases with Stripe integration and secure payment • Community-based recommendation system • Advanced photo and video editor with filters and effects • Commission system for influencing purchases • Interactive map to discover products and posts nearby • Real-time chat between the users • Wishlists and personalized savings
My contribution
• Full-stack development from scratch: mobile app (iOS/Android) and backend infrastructure • Architecture and implementation of the entire React Native/Expo application with TypeScript • Backend development with Firebase (Firestore, Functions, Storage, Authentication) • Integration of ElasticSearch for high-performance product search • Implementation of Stripe for secure payment and commission management • Development of advanced features: custom feeds, interactive map, real-time chat • State management with Redux Toolkit and data persistence • Advanced animations with Reanimated for smooth user experience
Technical challenges overcome: • Design and implementation of a scalable full-stack architecture from zero to production • Complex data modeling with Firestore for social and e-commerce features • Integration of multiple third-party services (Stripe, ElasticSearch, Google Maps, Mailjet) • Real-time synchronization management for feeds, chat and notifications • Advanced image/video processing pipeline with compression and optimization • Implementation of a sophisticated commission and payout system • Native configuration and customization (iOS/Android) for optimal performance
